Although raised in Hawaii, she practiced law in Washington, D.C. for six years before returning to Hawaii in 2000. During her time in Washington, she practiced international trade law with the law firms of Miller & Chevalier and Bryan Cave LLP and was active in the Section of International Law and Practice of the American Bar Association. Ms. Lockwood is an editor of The International Human Rights of Women: Instruments of Change.
