SCOTT G. MORITA concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate and business transactions.  Mr. Morita holds the highest Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating of AV Preeminent in the areas of Real Estate, Business Law and Contracts.  Examples of his work include:
  • Real Estate Transactions: Represents clients in real property acquisitions and sales, including negotiation and drafting of financing and security documents.  Also represents landlords and tenants in negotiating and drafting ground and space leases.
  • Business Transactions: Represents clients in stock and asset purchase and sale transactions, negotiating and drafting contracts, and general corporate/business entity matters.
  • Business Entity Organization and Documentation: Assists clients in business entity formations, preparation of organizational documents and drafting and maintaining legal records.

  • Real Estate Litigation: Cases involving lease disputes, title disputes, foreclosures, quiet title, partitions, summary possession and purchase contract disputes.

  • Personal Injury Litigation: Cases involving motor vehicle accidents and premises liability.
Mr. Morita obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Physiology from the University of California at San Diego.  Prior to attending law school, he worked in a UCLA medical research lab studying fetal physiology.  After graduating from the University of Hawaii, William S. Richardson School of Law, Mr. Morita worked as a law clerk to the Honorable Kevin S.C. Chang, during Judge Chang's tenure as the Civil Administrative Judge of the First Circuit Court of the State of Hawaii.
